Fair Play and Safety in Online Card Games

How the server protects fair play, what ERAM CARDS does for safety, and general tips for players.

Published

Playing online with real people is more fun when you trust that the table is fair and safe. This guide explains what ERAM CARDS does in this area, followed by general tips that help in any multiplayer card game. We state only what we can confirm, and we make no promises beyond that.

What ERAM CARDS does

The server decides the rules and results

The rules, scoring and results are decided by the server, not by a player's phone. This means everyone plays under the same rules, and an illegal move is refused and changes nothing in the game. In Baloot, for example, a card that fails to follow the led suit is refused. Each player sees only their own cards: neither a partner nor a spectator can see another player's hand. This design guards against cheating.

Chat with safety filters

In-game text chat has content filters, and you can block or mute players. Voice chat is not available yet.

Reporting and moderation

You can report a player or misconduct from inside the app, and moderation reviews reports. You can also write to us through the contact form with the player's name and exactly what happened.

Bots can take over for disconnected players

If a player disconnects for any reason, a bot can take their place so the match keeps going and nobody else loses their time.

Coins are virtual and have no cash value

Coins are a virtual in-game currency used in the store for cosmetics and gifts. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and can be bought through Google Play.

No gambling

ERAM CARDS is a card game for fun and friendly competition, not gambling. Coins cannot be turned into cash.

Cheating and collusion: what is prohibited

Our terms prohibit bots, scripts and collusion between players. One example of collusion is two players sharing information about their cards outside the game to beat the rest of the table. A multiplayer card game is built on hidden information, and any workaround spoils the fun for everyone.

General tips for players

  • Keep personal data private: do not give your phone number, address or financial details to anyone in chat, however friendly they seem.
  • Use mute and block: you should not have to put up with unpleasant messages. Mute or block the player, then report if needed.
  • Report precisely: include the player's name, what happened and in which game, which speeds up review.
  • Play with people you know: for a controlled atmosphere, create a private room with a code and invite your friends.
  • Be kind to opponents and partners: a slow or disconnected partner is not an enemy, and their connection may be weak.
  • Spend thoughtfully: remember that Coins are for cosmetics and gifts, and do not spend more than you intend.
  • Know the rules: open the rules page before you start. The list is on the games page, and for unfamiliar words see the glossary.
  • Keep your account secure: never share your sign-in details with anyone.
