Hand
Get rid of your cards first and finish with the fewest points.
Hand is a rummy-type card game played with two decks and two Jokers. On your turn you draw a card, lay down melds or add to melds, then discard a card.
Four variants are available: Hand Classic, Hand Partnership, Saudi Hand with a rising opening threshold, and Saudi Hand Partnership.
Variants
Hand Classic
2 to 4 players, everyone for themselves, a 51 opening for each player.
Hand Partnership
4 players in two teams, a personal 51 opening for each player, team scoring.
Saudi Hand
The bar starts at 51 then becomes the last accepted opening + 1; the Ace can be 1 in A-2-3.
Saudi Hand Partnership
Team opening: 51 for the first team, the highest opening + 1 for the other.
Key points
106 cards
Two 52-card decks plus two Jokers, 14 cards per player.
Opening of 51
Your first lay-down must reach at least 51 points (the bar rises in the Saudi variants).
The Hand
Going out from a full hand in one turn scores −60 and doubles everyone else's penalties.
The Joker
At most one Joker per meld, and it can be replaced after opening.
Four variants
Classic, Partnership, Saudi and Saudi Partnership.
Lowest wins
The winner has the lowest total after 3, 5, 7 or 9 rounds.
